In February, we held our annual joint ICO/University of Chicago Symposium. ICO faculty were joined by associates from the University of Chicago Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for an event dedicated to our MD/OD partnership and the combined efforts being made in the field of vitreoretinal and retinal vascular diseases.

Featuring presentations and conversations regarding the latest developments in retina research, the event saw speakers covering emerging topics such as diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema, inherited retinal diseases, age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy, neovascular age-related macular degeneration and acute retinal ischemia.

We are thankful to the University of Chicago for their continued collaboration as we work together to further facilitate the advancement of our respective fields.
