As our students geared up for the national quiz bowl in Minneapolis on June 25, ICO hosted its own competition on April 5. The partition walls came down, the crowd poured in, and in true ICO fashion, school spirit was on full display. Congrats to “Touchdown” Tawfic (Joe Tawfic ’26), who pulled ahead in the last stages and will represent us at the big event. Go Joe!

This year’s theme, Athletes vs. Mathletes, brought out so much creativity, one person even showed up fully decked out as Einstein. The night kicked off with some big raffle prizes, among them a Dyson Airwrap, Lollapalooza tickets, and a perennial favorite, “Beers with Dr. Bhakhri.” Between rounds, Lillie Davis ’27 kept the energy up with mini games which included a push-up contest, a Rubik’s cube challenge, and general trivia. Huge thanks to Drs. Bandstra, Harthan, Wyles, Goodfellow, Skoog, and Bhakhri for judging, and a special thank you to Dayle Balmes ’27, for pulling it all together
