On Jan. 1, 2026, the Dr. Newton K. Wesley Research Center celebrated its two-year anniversary. In that time, the center supported 61 studies, including 53 externally funded research projects and eight student research projects: strong early numbers for a center still finding its stride. 

Faculty and student collaborations have driven much of that activity, and the center’s work continues to grow. A full feature appears elsewhere in this issue on page 32.
