On April 12th, ICO held the 2024 Practice Opportunities Symposium which saw optometrists, practice owners, and industry partners from across North America engaging with ICO students.

Retina 2024 Symposium

In February, we held our annual joint ICO/University of Chicago Symposium. ICO faculty were joined by associates from the University of Chicago Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for an event dedicated to our MD/OD partnership and the combined efforts being made in the field of vitreoretinal and retinal vascular diseases.

Mullen-Ernest Symposium

At this year's Retina 2024 symposium, Mark K. Colip, OD ’92 and Seenu Hariprasad, MD announced that going forward the event would officially be re-named to the 'Mullen-Ernest Symposium'.

Heart Of America

On February 9th, ICO students, residents, and faculty attended the 63rd annual Heart of America Eye Care Congress in Kansas City, Missouri where they presented their research posters and had the chance to network with fellow attendees and eyecare providers.

Welcome Student Summer Researchers

The ICO Summer Research Program (SRP) launched its new cycle at the start of the 2024 Summer Quarter, with three students commencing their research projects.

ComEd Partnership

ICO was joined outside the IEI by ComEd and the Bronzeville community to unveil the launch of their latest EV charging stations—marking a historic step towards a cleaner and more accessible future for northern Illinois and the local community!
